Las Piedras is a town and municipality in the central eastern region of Puerto Rico, set inland about 25 miles from San Juan. It borders Yabucoa to the south, Canóvanas and Río Grande to the north, Juncos and San Lorenzo to the west, and Naguabo and Humacao to the east, and is organized into eight barrios including Las Piedras Pueblo.
Founded in 1793, the municipality covers 86 km² and has a population of approximately 35,180 as of 2020. It falls within the San Juan-Caguas-Guaynabo Metropolitan Statistical Area, tying it into the wider economic and commuting network of the island's capital region.
