The Petateros won 2-0 against the Libertadores de Hormigueros, with pitchers Walter Hernández and Miguel Ausúa combining for the shutout. The Gigantes de Carolina defeated the defending champion Mulos de Juncos 7-1, with Héctor Quiñones pitching seven innings and striking out five.
The Azucareros de Yabucoa beat the Maratonistas de Coamo 4-1, with Marcos Santa and Joan Román providing scoreless relief. The Carnaval de Campeones continues with four games tonight.
