A 27-year-old woman, Francinnette Castro Boria, was seriously injured in a traffic accident on Sunday morning on PR-3 highway, at the intersection with San Marcos street in Carolina. According to preliminary information from the Police, Castro Boria was driving a motorcycle when she collided with the front left side of a Jeep driven by 35-year-old Milka Escalera Medina.
As a result of the crash, Castro Boria suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital, where her condition was described as critical. Escalera Medina was treated by paramedics at the scene and later transferred to a hospital, where her condition was described as stable.
The investigation into the incident is being handled by the Carolina Highway Patrol Division.
