Jac Caglianone, a powerful hitter of Puerto Rican descent, is enjoying the best month of his young career with the Kansas City Royals in the Major Leagues. This season, he has hit 12 home runs, including two recent ones that landed in the fountain behind the right field of Kauffman Stadium, with an average distance of 413 feet.
Caglianone has made adjustments to recognize and respond to different types of pitches, allowing him to maximize his power. He has already almost doubled his total home runs from the 2025 season and surpassed his previous records for runs scored and runs batted in.
The 6′4″ and 250-pound hitter has learned to avoid swinging outside the zone and has improved his ability to hit home runs off fastballs, with six this year compared to just two in 2025. Caglianone attributes his success to his ability to manage bad turns at bat, saying he quickly moves on from mistakes and takes advantage of the next opportunity.
