Federal Prosecution Announces Convictions and Guilty Pleas for Narcotics and Firearms

The federal prosecution announced the results of several cases related to narcotics and firearms between June 15 and 18, as part of the National Security Task Force (HSTF) investigations. Eli Couvertier Pollock pleaded guilty on June 16 to possession of a machine gun and conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances, and is scheduled to be sentenced on October 5. Dalmau Román also pleaded guilty on June 18 to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances and possession of firearms related to narcotics trafficking, with their sentencing set for September 23. Carlos Mercado Molina pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances, also to be sentenced on September 23. Rodney Alexis Maldonado Márquez and Efraín Ramírez Cortés admitted responsibility for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances and will be sentenced on September 16.

Additionally, several individuals received prison sentences for narcotics and firearms-related crimes, including Isaías Molina Valle and Jomael Aponte Rivera, who were sentenced to 144 months in prison followed by eight years of supervised release. Others, such as Carlos Obed La Llave Otero and Merchisede Rivera Rivera, received five years in prison and eight years of supervised release for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances.
