Two incidents of men being shot were reported in Barranquitas and Caguas. The first incident occurred at 5:32 a.m. on Saturday on PR-771 in the Parcelas sector of Barranquitas, where a man was found with a gunshot wound and taken to a hospital in stable condition. Agents Héctor Vega and Nancy Espada are investigating.
In Caguas, a 32-year-old man from Cidra was shot at 2:40 a.m. while driving on PR-1 and reported that a gray Toyota Corolla pulled up and fired several shots at him. He drove himself to a hospital in Caguas, where he was treated. The Caguas Criminal Investigations Corps is investigating.
So far this year, there have been 275 reported homicides, three more than at this time in 2025.
