Man Kidnapped and Stabbed During Robbery in Ponce

A man was kidnapped and stabbed during a robbery reported on Saturday morning in Ponce. The incident began in the parking area of the Panadería Imperial, where the victim was approached by two individuals who got out of a blue Toyota vehicle. One of the individuals, armed with a gray gun, threatened the victim and forced him to get into the vehicle.

The perpetrators then took the victim to a Banco Oriental ATM on Avenida Las Américas, where they attempted to have him withdraw $1,500 from the ATH system, which has a daily limit of $500. When the withdrawal was not possible, the victim was told to return. Near a garage on Calle Victoria, one of the individuals used a blade to attack the victim, causing a laceration in the abdominal area.

The victim described one of the individuals as having a dark complexion, wearing black shorts and a red shirt, and the second as having a dark complexion, with a long blue jacket and black shirt. Agent Margarita López, assigned to the Ponce Oeste Precinct, investigated the case and referred it to the Robbery Division of the Ponce Criminal Investigations Corps.
