The trial of Elvia Cabrera Rivera continued in the Aibonito court, with Judge Luis S. Barreto Altieri admitting as evidence a statement from Gabriela 'Gaba' Figueroa Arroyo, a childhood friend of the victim, Gabriela Nicole 'Lela' Pratts Rosario. Figueroa Arroyo testified that Anthonieska Avilés Cabrera, the defendant's daughter, allegedly confessed to her 15 minutes after the murder, saying 'Gaba, Gaba la apuñalé!' and showing her hands with cuts and blood.
The judge also accepted as evidence a TikTok conversation between Anthonieska and Figueroa Arroyo, in which Anthonieska warned Figueroa Arroyo to do what her mother says. Figueroa Arroyo was present during the events but claimed she did not see who stabbed the victim. The victim's mother, Lisandra Rosario, stated that her daughter was often involved in problems and fights, including with Anthonieska over borrowed clothing.
The trial is ongoing, with Anthonieska facing separate charges.
