A man was shot in the leg during an attempted carjacking in the Parkhurst neighborhood of Bayamón, Puerto Rico, on Tuesday night. According to preliminary information, the incident occurred at 9:32 p.m. while the victim was working on his car. An armed individual approached him, threatening and intimidating him in an attempt to steal the vehicle.
The suspect fired a shot, hitting the victim in the leg, and the victim was taken to a hospital for medical attention. His condition is reported as stable. The case has been referred to the Bayamón Criminal Investigations Corps.
The Puerto Rico Police reported the incident, which occurred in the Hato Tejas sector of Bayamón.
