The Museo de Arte de Ponce (MAP) is collaborating with Distrito T-Mobile to bring its art collection to a new audience outside of the traditional museum space. Starting this week, 19 digital screens at Distrito T-Mobile will display a selection of works from the museum's collection on a monthly basis.
Each piece will be accompanied by educational content, allowing visitors to learn more about its history, context, and cultural value. The initiative is part of an effort to continue engaging the public while the museum undergoes reconstruction.
Christian Nieves, general manager of Distrito T-Mobile, and Marcos Montero, executive director of MAP, highlighted the importance of this collaboration, which will feature projections of the artworks along with their technical specifications at scheduled times daily. The projections will be accompanied by sound for 30 seconds at 12:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m., and 8:00 p.m.
