A 42-year-old man was arrested for allegedly robbing a Pueblo supermarket in the Monte Mall commercial center in Hato Rey and assaulting the manager. The incident occurred at approximately 8:24 p.m. on Friday.
According to preliminary information, the man was taken into custody by a Bridge Security guard after he allegedly committed the robbery and punched the manager in the face. The Hato Rey Oeste police precinct agents later arrived at the scene.
The San Juan Robbery Division is continuing the investigation and will be in charge of possible charges. The items allegedly stolen were not immediately reported.
