Dominique Ayala Hogan, a 32-year-old resident of Loíza, has been charged with attempted murder in the first degree and possession and use of white weapons. The incident occurred on June 29 on PR-187 road in the Piñones sector of Loíza, where Ayala allegedly accelerated a 2020 Nissan Rogue SL and struck his father after a discussion, trapping him between the vehicle and a Ford F-150.

The victim received medical assistance and was taken to a hospital for treatment, with his condition described as stable. The case was consulted with prosecutor Kristhia Méndez Márquez, who filed the charges.

Judge Orlando Puldón Gómez of the Carolina Tribunal determined cause for arrest and set a $400,000 bail, which Ayala did not pay, resulting in his arrest and admission to the Institution Penal 705 in the Bayamón Correctional Complex.
