The Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) has placed Northbridge University's accreditation on probation. The decision was made on June 25 after visiting the university's campuses in Puerto Rico, Florida, and Oregon.
Despite this, Northbridge University remains accredited. The MSCHE stated that the probation is due to insufficient evidence of compliance with Standard II (ethics and integrity) and Standard VII (governance, leadership, and administration).
Northbridge University has until October 1 to submit a monitoring report providing evidence of compliance with the accreditation standards, including honesty and accuracy in representing the institution's name and identity, as well as providing precise and complete information about the institution and its operations. The university's administration stated that the probation occurred during the regular reaccreditation process and that none of the observations are related to the quality of academic programs.
