Judge Davier Alfaro Alfaro of the Aguadilla Tribunal determined on Wednesday that there was probable cause for the arrest of 83-year-old Ángel A. Torres Acevedo, also known as Kike, for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor under 13 years old.
Prosecutor Ruth Hernández Méndez filed charges of sexual assault and lewd acts. Alfaro Alfaro set a $20,000 bond, which Torres Acevedo was able to post through a private surety, and he was released on electronic supervision until his preliminary hearing on July 16.
According to the investigation by the Aguadilla Police Department's Division of Sexual Crimes and Child Abuse, the alleged acts occurred in 2023. It was not specified if the minor is a relative of the accused.
