Judge Cynthia Vázquez Peña of the Ponce Tribunal found cause for arrest against 44-year-old Pedro A. González Toledo, who is accused of sexually assaulting and mistreating a minor under 8 years old. The Ponce prosecutor's office charged González Toledo with two counts of sexual assault and one count of child abuse.
According to the police investigation, the alleged incidents occurred between 2021 and 2022 in Ponce. The investigation also found that González Toledo allegedly recorded the minor while committing the acts. After evaluating the evidence, Judge Vázquez Peña set a global bail of $30,000, which González Toledo did not pay, and he was sent to prison.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 13.
