A man was arrested for hitting his adult son on the head with a metal pipe, according to the Police. The incident occurred at around 11:00 a.m. on Friday on PR-106, ramal 351, in Mayagüez.
The son reported that his father asked him for a favor, which he declined due to having to go to work, and was then assaulted with the metal pipe on the head and left forearm. The father also damaged the son's 2024 Dodge Ram vehicle.
The son was taken to a hospital for treatment, but his condition was not specified. The father, whose age was not provided, was arrested and will appear in court on July 6 for possible charges, as cited by prosecutor Wilfredo Santiago.
