A pedestrian died in the early morning of July 4 after being hit by a vehicle on PR-6 in Bayamón, according to the Police. The preliminary investigation indicates that a 34-year-old driver was traveling in a 2026 Kia Seltos when the vehicle struck a pedestrian who was attempting to cross the road in an area without a designated crosswalk or lighting.
The pedestrian, who has not been identified, suffered severe injuries that resulted in death. The driver was given a breathalyzer test, which showed 0.0% blood alcohol level.
The vehicle was impounded for investigation purposes.
