Victor Alicea, the actor who played 'Guille' in the 90s comedy 'Entrando por la cocina', is reviving his iconic character for a new production, 'El penthouse de Guille', set to premiere on September 12 at the Centro de Bellas Artes de Santurce. The play, written by Ricardo André Lugo and directed by Víctor González, will feature Guille hosting a party at his luxury penthouse, which he purchased before it was occupied by a beneficiary of Law 60.
The party will include music by DJ Charlie and a contest for the most striking glasses of the night. The story also involves a reunion between Guille and his friends Altagracia, Cari, and Enriqueta, played by Yazmín Mejías, Waleska Seda, and Carmen Nydia Velázquez, who will provide cleaning and catering services through their company 'Cleaning Services'.
However, the appearance of an unexpected guest, played by Luis Ponce, will cause several mishaps, testing the friends' long-standing relationship. Alicea expressed that Guille's character marked history in Puerto Rico, especially during a time when LGBTQ+ issues were not widely discussed, and that his openness on the show impacted various generations.
