Heliot Ramos, a Puerto Rican player, hit two home runs and drove in five runs to support Landen Roupp's first win in over two months, as the San Francisco Giants defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 10-1 on Monday. Ramos, who started the game with a triple and scored on an error, hit a three-run home run against reliever Tommy Nance in the sixth inning and a two-run home run against Adam Nacko in the eighth. Venezuelan player Víctor Bericoto added a two-run double.
Roupp, who had not won since April 26, struck out five and dominated after the first batter he faced reached base on an error. He allowed three hits in eight innings, with five strikeouts and two walks. The Giants did most of their damage against former Giants All-Star pitcher Kevin Gausman, who allowed seven runs (four earned) in 5.3 innings.
Ramos finished the night batting 5-3, all extra-base hits, with three runs scored and five driven in.
