Annelis Delgado visited the Escuela Mildred Arroyo Cardoza in Cabo Rojo to deliver a message to her daughter, Geraldine Nieves, a 16-year-old participant in the Puerto Rico Youth Challenge Program of the National Guard. Geraldine has been part of the program since April and her mother had not seen her until this visit.
The program, known as Campamento Huellas, aims to provide opportunities for youths at risk of dropping out of school.
