Don Tony Rodríguez, a renowned musician and historian of radio, cinema, and television in Puerto Rico, passed away on Wednesday, according to his family. Rodríguez was notable for his significant contributions to the development of media on the island and founded the Semana de la Televisión in Puerto Rico, among other local productions and projects.
In June, Rodríguez, along with the Telemundo Puerto Rico team, celebrated the 36th anniversary of the Semana de la Televisión, where Telemundo served as the host channel. During the event, Rodríguez shared the stage with prominent colleagues and executives from major local television channels and received recognition for his extraordinary contribution to the television industry.
