A 23-year-old man, Luis Josué Rivera Rivera, was shot and killed while driving a motorcycle on Avenida Conquistador in Fajardo on Wednesday night. According to the preliminary police report, the crime was reported at 8:25 p.m. after a radio call alerted authorities to a person shot at the scene.
Police found Rivera Rivera, a Fajardo resident, injured with gunshot wounds and driving a 2025 Veloce Tank motorcycle. He was taken to a hospital, where he died while receiving medical attention.
Rivera Rivera had a prior criminal record for violations of the Arms Law and the Domestic Violence Law. The investigation is being led by the Homicide Division of the Criminal Investigation Corps in Fajardo, along with prosecutor Sandra Cortés.
