The Police are investigating a homicide reported on Wednesday afternoon in front of building 43 of the El Prado residential area in Río Piedras, confirmed the Uniformed Press Office. According to preliminary information, a call to the 9-1-1 Emergency System alerted authorities to shots and a gunshot wound.
Upon arrival, agents found the body of a man with multiple bullet impacts and no vital signs. The victim was identified by family members as 31-year-old Luis Omar Clemente Acosta, a resident of Río Piedras.
Agent Miguel Sáez of the San Juan CIC's Homicide Division, along with prosecutor María Sofia Cruz Colón, will lead the investigation.
