A 43-year-old man was shot and injured in the early hours of Thursday in the Irlanda Heights neighborhood of Bayamón, according to the Police. The incident was reported at 12:39 a.m. after a 9-1-1 call alerted authorities to shots fired on Babilonia Street.
When officers arrived, they found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics took the victim to a hospital for medical treatment.
The authorities have not reported the victim's current health condition. The case is being handled by Agent Nivia Arce Rivera, assigned to the Aggressions Division of the Criminal Investigations Corps in Bayamón.
