The National Meteorological Service in San Juan announced that this weekend will have stable weather in Puerto Rico, with high temperatures and occasional brief showers, mainly in the afternoon. The Service warned of possible isolated thunderstorms on Friday and advised people visiting western coastal beaches to be aware of potential rain and electrical storms.
Temperatures will range from 80 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in coastal and urban areas, with a higher heat index in the afternoon. The agency recommended that people sensitive to heat take precautions, stay hydrated, and limit outdoor activities during the hottest hours.
A weak tropical wave and a Saharan dust cloud are expected to approach the region on Sunday night, which could affect air quality and require precautions for people with respiratory problems.
