The Centro de Recaudación de Ingresos Municipales (CRIM) is launching a pilot project in August to identify the owners and tax status of approximately 55,000 properties across the island whose owners are unknown. The project aims to collect up to $25 million in revenue within a year.

The CRIM hopes to determine the ownership and tax status of these properties, which are scattered throughout Puerto Rico.
