Where the English comes from. The English for each term is the one our own stories use, from the same tables the summaries are written with. The weather alerts follow the National Weather Service's definitions of a warning, a watch and an advisory; the agencies' lines are from their own pages. Spotted a term we should add, or one out of date? Let us know.
