Hiram Torres Montalvo, Secretary of the Department of Consumer Affairs (DACO), announced on Monday that inspectors from Weights and Measures will visit veterinary clinics in Puerto Rico to verify the calibration and certification of their scales. The goal of this operation is to continue executing the compliance policy that consumers deserve, according to Torres Montalvo.
This operation had not been carried out in over two decades, and the aim is to ensure that all clinics comply with the laws and regulations. Inspectors will check the scales to ensure they are accurately calibrated and certified.
