A 23-year-old driver was the victim of a carjacking on Wednesday night in Luquillo, according to the Puerto Rico Police. The incident occurred around 10:00 p.m. near kilometer 34.8 of PR-3, in the Fortuna Playa area, where the victim was stopped in a rented Ford Transit 2026 with license plate 1254750.
The man reported hearing someone tap on the vehicle's glass, and then, under threat, he was robbed of the vehicle. Agent Yolanda Santiago Méndez initially investigated and referred the case to the Robbery Division of the Fajardo Criminal Investigations Corps (CIC), which will continue the investigation to clarify what happened and find those responsible.
