A 34-year-old man, identified as Clay Boaz Tunica-El, died in a pool at the Saint Tropez condominium in Isla Verde, Carolina. The incident was reported at 12:42 p.m. on Wednesday, and authorities were alerted via a 9-1-1 call about a swimmer, described as a North American man between 30 and 40 years old, who had been pulled from the pool after showing signs of drowning.
The victim was taken to the Dr. Federico Trilla hospital at the University of Puerto Rico in Carolina, where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation is being led by Agent Lianis Martínez from the Homicide Division of the C.I.C. in Carolina, along with Prosecutor Lenabel Alvarado. The circumstances surrounding the death are being investigated by the Police.
