A 37-year-old man defended himself against a carjacking attempt in Ceiba by shooting at the assailants. The incident occurred at 12:26 p.m. on PR-9974, where the victim's vehicle was intercepted by two individuals in a black Hyundai Venue.
The passenger of the Hyundai allegedly pointed a firearm at the victim, who then used his licensed Glock 43X 9mm handgun to repel the attack. The assailants fled the scene, reportedly without being shot.
Officer Kevin García investigated the case and referred it to the Aggressions Division of the Fajardo Criminal Investigations Corps (CIC) for further investigation.
