The Salinas Court of First Instance will temporarily relocate its operations to the Guayama Judicial Center starting Monday, August 24, due to renovation and improvement works at its physical facility. The change will remain in effect until further notice. Director Administrative of the Courts, Sigfrido Steidel Figueroa, announced the special plan, which will affect in-person hearings.
Individuals scheduled to appear in person at the Salinas Court must report to the Guayama Judicial Center at the designated date and time. Video conferences will proceed as scheduled. The Judicial Branch reminded the public that the Electronic Court is available for online submissions of protection orders, involuntary admission requests for mental health, and other urgent municipal matters.
The platform can be accessed at TribunalElectronico.pr. Additionally, Judicial Branch personnel will be available at the Tú Vales Program office in Salinas to assist with protection orders and emergency petitions under the Puerto Rico Mental Health Law.
