A 73-year-old man, Wilfredo González Torres, from Hatillo, died after being struck by a truck on PR-111 road in the Consejo neighborhood of Utuado. Officer José L. Pérez González, from the Utuado Precinct, arrived at the scene at 9:57 a.m. after a 911 emergency call.
Paramedics from Compañía V. Met Transport confirmed González Torres had no vital signs. The circumstances of the accident are still unknown.
Prosecutor Bermaris López, from the Utuado prosecutor's office, is investigating the incident as an unfortunate accident, as it occurred on a private road, and ordered a permit to transport the body to the funeral home.
