Héctor Collazo Hernández, known as Héctor PR, has painted a new Puerto Rican flag in San Lorenzo, as part of the municipality's efforts to revitalize public spaces. The flag was painted on a staircase in the Sector El Bosque neighborhood, an area that was previously neglected and filled with debris. The project was initiated by San Lorenzo Mayor Jaime Alverio Ramos, who announced the event.
Héctor PR had previously completed a project called '78 pueblos, una bandera', where he painted flags in all 78 municipalities of Puerto Rico. This new project is a continuation of his artistic efforts, which aim to promote patriotism, tourism, and creativity. The artist has stated that this new flag was painted at the request of Mayor Alverio Ramos, unlike his previous project, which was a personal initiative.
The revitalization of the Sector El Bosque area is part of San Lorenzo's efforts to give new life to public spaces, and Héctor PR's flag is a symbol of this initiative.
