Why this matters: This event showcases the talent of Ponce’s musicians and celebrates the city’s unique cultural heritage, bringing together local artists and audiences to enjoy traditional Puerto Rican music.

The concept of 'Bohemia ponceña' returns to the scene with the show 'Bohemia ponceña 2' on August 29 at 8:30 PM at La Bodega de Méndez in Ponce. Singers Wilda Liz Rodríguez, Omar Edgardo Vázquez, Ricardo Jesús, and Pedro Juan will perform together, accompanied by Luis Lajara on piano. Wilda Liz expressed her excitement about sharing the stage with her colleagues and friends, saying she admires the talent of each one and enjoys making music together.

The show is produced by Joffre Pérez, who explained that the idea came from a conversation with his childhood friend Nancy Vega, and the first edition was a success. The vocalists will sing solo, in duos, trios, and as a quartet, showcasing their unique styles and interpretations of music. Wilda Liz will interpret songs written and popularized by great women in Puerto Rican music, such as Myrta Silva.
