A new research project at the University of Puerto Rico's Medical Sciences Campus aims to identify pregnant women with problematic substance use and connect them with interdisciplinary services. The project, which began this year, seeks to provide timely support to these women.

The initiative is focused on addressing the needs of pregnant women in Puerto Rico who struggle with substance use. By identifying these women early on, the project hopes to provide them with the necessary services to improve their health outcomes.

The University of Puerto Rico's Medical Sciences Campus is leading the project, which is part of the university's efforts to address health issues affecting the community.
