A 22-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in a presumed 'hit and run' accident in Coamo. According to the Police, the accident occurred at 12:40 a.m. on PR-704, kilometer 1.6, in the Cuyón neighborhood.
The preliminary investigation suggests that the young man was riding a black Italica XB88-250 all-terrain motorcycle when he was hit from behind by another vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle allegedly abandoned the scene without providing assistance.
The motorcyclist was taken to the Menonita Hospital in Ponce, where he was diagnosed with a fracture in his left femur, and later referred to the Río Piedras Medical Center. The make, model, and license plate of the vehicle involved are still unknown.
