The Police arrested a man suspected of committing two burglaries in Barranquitas. The individual allegedly broke into Ferretería Negrón at around 5:17 a.m. and later into Iglesia Alianza Cristiana Misionera at approximately 9:13 a.m., both located on PR-719, kilometer 2.5, in the Helechal neighborhood.
After the burglaries, the man fled into a nearby mountain, prompting the deployment of FURA agents from San Juan. A helicopter was used to search the area, and the suspect was eventually arrested.
During the operation, several police officers suffered health issues and received medical attention at local hospitals, with their conditions reported as stable.
