The city of Arecibo, led by Mayor Carlos Ramírez Irizarry, is expanding its cultural agenda through the Department of Art, Culture, and History. The department will offer free activities for all ages at the Trina Padilla de Sanz Museum. Throughout September, the cultural center will exhibit 'Expresión Creativa Esencial'.
On September 17, the book 'Queda el presente el porvenir' will be presented at 6:00pm. On September 19, writer Benjamín Yancy Crespo will recite his poetry collection 'Por la espiral de tus sueños' at 3:00pm. The Department of Art, Culture, and History is also inviting seniors to join the Trina Reading Club, which aims to foster a love for Puerto Rican literature and share ideas in a friendly environment.
The first meeting will be on October 7 at the museum. Mayor Ramírez Irizarry expressed that Arecibo is committed to culture as a key component of its economic development and invited the public to participate in these activities.
