Four people trapped by a sudden surge of water in the river where La Coca waterfall is located, on PR-192 road in El Yunque National Forest, Río Grande, have been rescued and are safe. Emergency units, including the Río Grande Municipal Emergency Management Office, were deployed to the scene and rescued them in good condition once the water level dropped.
The identities of the rescued individuals are currently unknown, but it has been clarified that they are not tourists.
