The Freddo Vega Foundation celebrated the success of its 5K event in Salinas, which took place on Sunday at the Coliseo Ángel 'Cholo' Espada with a family-friendly atmosphere and festive energy. The event aimed to raise funds for the 'Alegría para mi Barrio' initiative, which benefits over 5,000 Puerto Rican families each December.
With over 2,000 registered runners and approximately 3,500 attendees, the event exceeded expectations, offering activities such as zumba classes, live music, and kiosks. The event was hosted by Danilo Beauchamp and Saudi Rivera, with the support of Alejandro Gil and Medina Sofía.
Freddo Vega, founder of the organization, expressed his pride and gratitude, stating that the event demonstrated the power of unity and solidarity. The foundation thanked all volunteers, sponsors, and participants, as well as local authorities, including the Salinas Municipal Police, Salinas Recreation and Sports, Salinas Tourism Office, and the Puerto Rico Police.
