Judge Cynthia Marie Vázquez Peña of the Aibonito Tribunal determined cause for arrest against Omar N. Morales Rivera, 44, also known as 'Gringo', a resident of Orocovis, on charges of abuse and aggravated abuse, including attempted strangulation, under Law 54 for the Prevention and Intervention of Domestic Violence.
According to the investigation by Agent Glicenlia Alicea of the Division of Gender Violence and Juvenile Affairs of the Aibonito CIC, on September 4, 2026, Morales Rivera allegedly committed the crimes against the victim, who reported him. The charges were filed by Prosecutor Andrea Santiago Giraldo.
Morales Rivera did not post the $90,000 bail and was imprisoned at the Las Cucharas correctional complex in Ponce. A protection order was granted to the victim.
