Trinity San Antonio, 22, has become a key player for the Puerto Rico women's national basketball team. Four years ago, she started her journey with the team as a young and developing point guard. Now, she is one of the team's most important pieces, according to coach Jerry Batista.
San Antonio recently led the team to a 75-71 victory over Turkey in the 2026 FIBA World Cup, scoring 18 points and stealing three balls. She was named the best player of the game and is currently averaging 5.0 steals per game in the tournament. San Antonio has also played professionally in Europe with the French club Toulouse, averaging 13.5 points per game, and has played in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional Femenino (BSNF) in Puerto Rico with the Leonas de Ponce.
Coach Batista believes her professional experience will help her continue to improve. San Antonio has played in six tournaments with the national team, including two World Cups and one Olympic Games, averaging 7.2 points and 2.7 rebounds per game. She aims to become a player who can read games and make correct decisions under pressure.
