A family in Salinas survived a shooting at their home in the Coco neighborhood, according to the Police Press Office. The incident occurred at 2:40 a.m. when the homeowner heard several shots fired at the residence while he was with his wife and two minors. Bullet impacts were found on the house, including one in a bedroom where a minor was present.
Three vehicles and a crane were also shot, and a second crane was damaged in a fire. A fence on the property was also damaged. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, and police collected 9mm and .40 caliber shell casings and an open gas can as evidence.
The case was referred to the Guayama Criminal Investigations Corps (CIC) and the Explosives Division was notified for support. No damage estimate was immediately available.
