The Buzzer Beater Baseball Classic has narrowed its field from 16 teams to eight after completing the second round. Leadership Christian Academy from Guaynabo secured its spot with a 21-0 win over Instituto Desarrollo del Niño from San Juan, with 11 walks and 14 runs in the third inning. Manuel Cruz Maceira from Comerío also advanced with a 15-0 win over Escuela Dr.
Juan J. Maunez Pimentel from Naguabo. Christian Military Academy defeated Presby Carolina 3-2 in an eight-inning game, while IBAHS beat Notre Dame 5-4.
Other winners included ESCAED, which defeated Escuela Ramón Power y Giralt from Las Piedras 8-4. The PRBAHS and Carlos Beltrán Baseball Academy also advanced to the Elite Eight. The tournament features schools, colleges, and baseball academies from Puerto Rico.
