The Escuela Especializada en Artes y Deportes Ernestina Méndez (Escaed) and the Puerto Rico Baseball Academy & High School (PRBAHS) advanced to the final of the Buzzer Beater Baseball Classic after winning their respective games on Friday at the Estadio Yldefonso Solá Morales in Caguas. Escaed defeated Leadership Christian Academy (LCA) 6-5, while PRBAHS overcame a four-run deficit to beat the Carlos Beltrán Baseball Academy (CBBA) 8-6.
The final will be held on Sunday at 6:00 p.m. at the home of the Criollos de Caguas in the Liga de Béisbol Profesional Roberto Clemente (LBPRC), with free admission. In the first game, Escaed's Kenneth Cordero and Yandaniel Beltrán drove in four of their team's six runs, while LCA's Orlando Vargas drove in four of their five runs.
PRBAHS's comeback was led by their strong batting performance, which allowed them to overcome the initial deficit and secure their spot in the final.
