The 'Contigo Mamá en Ponce' event, scheduled for September 11, aims to support pregnant women and new mothers in Ponce. The free event, taking place at the Centro Médico Episcopal San Lucas, will feature two panels led by health professionals from the Sistema de Salud Episcopal San Lucas, including a discussion on perinatal mental health with psychologist Dra.
Marianela Rodríguez. The panels will focus on the importance of managing anxiety and stress during pregnancy and postpartum, as well as the value of having a support network.
The event will also include exercises, healthy refreshments, and childcare services, and is a collaborative effort between the Municipio Autónomo de Ponce, Triple-S, Fundación Triple-S, Alianza Materno Infantil, Comienzo Saludable, March of Dimes, and Latidos de Vida San Lucas. Participants are encouraged to bring their children and a companion, and will have the opportunity to win prizes in a raffle.
