Two masked and armed men broke into a residence in the Galateo Bajo neighborhood of Isabela during the early hours of Friday, allegedly assaulting the resident and stealing $23,000 in cash, a rifle, and other items. According to the police investigation, the victim reported that the individuals gained access to the home through threats and intimidation, pointing a firearm at him.
Once inside, the assailants beat the victim in the face and took him to one of the bedrooms, where they stole the cash, a gold Invicta watch valued at $300, a gray Samsung Galaxy phone valued at $600, and a Smith & Wesson rifle estimated at $700. The total value of the stolen property is approximately $24,600.
The Isabela District and the Criminal Investigations Corps (CIC) are investigating the incident. The police are looking into the circumstances surrounding the break-in and the subsequent theft.
