Two men, Iván Vega de Jesús, 68, and René Antonio Camacho López, 52, were charged with sexual harassment in separate cases at the Ponce Tribunal. Prosecutor Jaslene López Lasanta filed charges against Vega de Jesús for incidents that occurred in May, after the Police received a complaint from the victim. The Ponce Tribunal set a $10,000 bond, which Vega de Jesús posted.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 22. Meanwhile, prosecutor Carlos Quintero filed a charge against Camacho López in an unrelated case, also with a $10,000 bond that was posted. The Police did not provide a date for the preliminary hearing against Camacho López.
The cases are part of an initiative by the Superintendencia de Investigaciones Criminales (SAIC) of the Puerto Rico Police.
