Puerto Rico police reported a complaint of possible child abuse filed this afternoon at a hospital in Caguas. According to the police report, hospital staff alerted authorities about two children, ages three and six, who were undergoing treatment and showed marks on their bodies that could be signs of abuse.
In response, the corresponding protocol was activated, and agents from the Police's Division of Sexual Crimes and Child Abuse, assigned to the Caguas Command, went to the hospital to investigate the matter together with staff from the Department of the Family. The investigation remains ongoing, and no further details, such as the identities of the children or any suspects, were released.
